One lane road closure CR 12

The Fremont County DOT has closed one lane of CR 12 at MM 2, north of Cotopaxi school.  Closure is due to shoulder erosion.  We do not have an estimated time of completion.  The lane will be re-opened once repairs have been completed.  Stop lights and cones/signage are in place for the duration.  Please slow down through the work zone and share with anyone who may need this information.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience while we work with contractors to determine the best repair solution.

Temporary Closure and Relocation of the Fremont County Assessor’s Office

The Fremont County Assessor’s Office will be CLOSED beginning tomorrow June 25, 2025, through July 7, 2025, to accommodate the relocation of the office from the Administration Building to the Garden Park Building (located directly across the street).

This move is necessary to facilitate the removal of asbestos and a comprehensive remodel of the current office space. Upon commencement of construction, the project is projected to take approximately three months to complete.

During this temporary relocation, public access to Assessor staff and records will be limited. In-person visits will not be permitted at the Garden Park location.

Members of the public may continue to contact the Assessor’s Office Monday - Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., by the following means:

Telephone: 719-276-7310
Or go to the Fremont County Website at FremontCountyco.gov and
Visit the Assessor's Website and click on Public Record Search

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition and are committed to maintaining service continuity to the extent possible
