Grandview Bridge Project Update
- The bridge deck was poured on Friday, October 4th. It must be cured for 14 days before any significant work on or loading of the bridge can occur.
- The City water line has been installed with adjustments and corrections made based on Canon City Water Department input. Bacteriological testing of the waterline will occur after 80% curing of the deck concrete and prior to putting the waterline into service. Miscellaneous waterline-related item installation are forthcoming such as Fire Hydrant, Air Vacuum Valve, and a water service tap.
- Roadway embankment construction, roadway subgrade preparation, and roadway paving are next. Delineators, guardrails, striping, and fencing follow after that.
- The current expected construction end date is still November 7th.
