Fremont County Cleanup Campaign
Just a reminder that Fremont County Government is sponsoring the annual Fremont County Cleanup Campaign which will be held from April 7th-May 16th, . The Fremont County Department of Public Health (FCDPH) is partnering with Twin Enviro/Apex Waste Solutions (Phantom Canyon Landfill) located at 2500 Fremont County Road 67 in Penrose. A limited number of free vouchers will be issued from the Fremont County Department of Public Health, located at 201 N. 6th ST to Fremont County residents, who reside outside city limits, to dispose of household trash, furniture, construction debris, brush, logs, leaves, and yard waste. Each voucher is good for up to 500 pounds. (anything over 500 lbs is $55 a ton) Only 1 voucher per household with a valid state driver's license. Twin Enviro is open Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm and the landfill closes for high winds so please call ahead if you are unsure if they are open.

Fremont County Department of Human Resources
The Fremont County Board of County Commissioners, sitting as the Board of Human Services, is pleased to announce the selection of Tonia Sutton as Fremont County DHS Director. Following the previous Director's decision to step down, her selection follows a brief but intensive search that included eight applications and four interviews.
Ms. Sutton has been employed by the DHS for over 18 years in various supervisory and administrative positions, last serving as Family Services Program Administrator. She will assume her new duties on Monday, April 28, and will report directly to the Board of Human Services. Until that time, County Administrator Tony Carochi will continue serving as Acting Director.
We look forward to her continued service to this board, to DHS, and to Fremont County as a whole. Please help us congratulation Tonia in her new capacity!
Also, DHS will be closed all day for business this Thursday, April 24 to allow staff to participate in their quarterly Professional Development Day. They will reopen on Friday, April 25th at 730 am for normal operations.
