County Notices:

Upcoming Roadwork July 16th & 17th

The Fremont County DOT will be conducting chip seal operations on M Street in Penrose Tuesday July 16, 2024; and on Kendallwood/Northwood Wednesday July 17, 2024.  The roads will be reduced to one-lane traffic during this time.  Delays are expected, as there will be reduced speeds through the work zone.   Please plan accordingly for your commute and share with anyone who may need this information.  As always, we appreciate your cooperation and patience while our crews work to complete the projects.

CCRD Pool Study

The final survey is open on the Swimming Pool Feasibility Study website.  Through the work on the study three different options have been identified.  They vary in price, size, amenities, indoor/outdoor options, and longevity, and are shown in a comparison chart.  Also included is an explanation of the tax impacts to make sure you have all the information.  Along with the three pool options, there is also a no pool option.  You will be asked to rank from one to four and share your comments.

This is your opportunity to let the Cañon City Area Recreation and Park District and City of Cañon City know what you believe the future of aquatics should be in our community.  It is your decision, and we are simply listening.  Make your voice heard and complete the survey.  The deadline is July 15th.  Here is the link to the survey:
