Child Welfare Mission Statement
"The Child Welfare Unity believes that all children and youth have the right to live in a permanent, safe and stable home, while preserving the rights and promoting the responsibilities of the family by respectfully partnering with families to support, strengthen and empower them in a culturally responsive and collaborative manner."
Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month
In 1989, the Blue Ribbon Campaign to Prevent Child Abuse started in Virginia as a way to pay tribute to a child tragically lost to child abuse. This campaign has since expanded across the country and has become a nation-wide event, bringing communities together to protect our children. You may notice blue ribbons popping up all over Fremont County!
