Summary

 

 Provides employment related counseling, job referral, case management, and community-based referral services to a variety of participants in the county’s self-sufficiency Colorado Works Program. Assessments include evaluations of client skills, abilities, and limitation that may be barriers to employment. The information and outcome of assessments determine the appropriate services to assist the applicant with training and/or job placement. Develops an Individual Responsibility Contract (IRC) and determines appropriateness of the eligibility for state and county diversions, Colorado Works Basic Cash, Colorado Works Child Care, Food Stamps, and Medicaid. 

 

Qualifications

Level I: Education and or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with a major in a human behavioral sciences or related field. 

Substitutions Level I: Full-time, paid professional, high-level technical or para-professional work experience that provided the same kind, amounts, and level of knowledge obtained through the required education may substitute year for year the Bachelor’s Degree. 

Promotional Purposes Only: Actual full-time paraprofessional or technical experience in a public services agency may substitute for the educational requirement on a year for year basis.

Level II: Education and or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with a major in a human behavioral sciences or related field. Minimum of one year full-time, paid professional work experience obtained in a social services agency at the Case Manager Level I.

Proof of valid Colorado driver’s license, vehicle in safe operating condition, and liability insurance must be on file at all times.
