Summary:

This position provides intake and/or ongoing services to families where child abuse, child neglect, or youth in conflict behaviors is present in order to resolve these circumstances. Services may include performing child abuse investigations, removing the involved child(ren) until the dangerous conditions are corrected, connecting the family to essential services, and arranging for long term or permanent placement when living in the home continues to be unsafe.

Qualifications:

Level I: Education and or Experience: Bachelor’s degree with a major in a human behavioral sciences field. Major course work is the equivalent of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in either development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures or therapeutic techniques. Examples of such major course work are social work, psychology, sociology, guidance and counseling, and child development.

Level II: Education and or Experience: Bachelor’s degree with a major in a human behavioral sciences field. Major course work is the equivalent of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in either development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures or therapeutic techniques.

Examples of such major course work are social work, psychology, sociology, guidance and counseling, and child development. Minimum of one year of full-time professional caseworker experience acquired after the degree in a public or private social services agency. Substitutions: A master’s degree in social work or human behavioral sciences field may substitute for the required work experience. A BSW and Field Placement with any Colorado Department of Human Services will substitute for one year full time casework experience.

Level III: Education and or Experience: Bachelor’s degree with a major in a human behavioral sciences field. Major course work is the equivalent of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in either development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures or therapeutic techniques.

Examples of such major course work are social work, psychology, sociology, guidance and counseling, and child development. Minimum of two years of progressively responsible, full-time, professional case worker experience, appropriate to the assignment, acquired after the degree in a public or private social services agency.

Substitutions: A master’s degree in social work or human behavioral sciences field may substitute for one year of the required work experience, one year of work experience must be received after the master’s degree.

Additional Requirements:

Proof of valid Colorado driver’s license, vehicle in safe operating condition and liability insurance must be on file at all times.

Summary:

Under general direction, position is responsible for providing patient nursing services such as immunizations, well child and well adult check-ups, tuberculosis testing, lead testing and flu clinics. Evaluates the level of care and ensures customer satisfaction; carries out Public Health prevention and intervention initiatives, as assigned, related to the following Public Health concerns: unintended pregnancy, infectious disease, obesity, tobacco, oral health, mental health and substance abuse. Provides community outreach Public Health nursing services and health education activities aimed at the promotion of healthy families and communities and the prevention of disease.  Emphasizes infectious disease prevention and control, health promotion activities, maternal-child health, community assessment and coalition building around public health issues, and public health emergency preparedness. A sound knowledge of the philosophy, principles, and practice of public health is required. Position in general exercises considerable judgement by managing all aspects of clinic operations. 

Qualifications:

Grade 36:  Licensed Practical Nurse from an accredited college; or two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Grade 37:  Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited four-year college or university; or two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Requirements:

Valid and current Colorado Driver’s License.  Current Colorado Registered Nursing License required.  CPR Certification required.  Red Cross CPR/First Aid Instructor Certification preferred, but not required.

Summary:

Operates heavy equipment utilized in digging and opening ditches, grading shoulders and slopes.  Performs other rough grading to clear County rights-of-way, trenching, filling or back filling and snow removal.  Operates asphalt equipment in road maintenance and repair work.  Requires the use of valves to regulate the temperature and flow of asphalt ensuring a constant flow into the hopper to distribute material evenly.  Operates mower to cut grass in County rights-of-way. Loads and places earth, rock, asphalt and other road construction and maintenance material.  Fastens attachments to tractor with clevis or wedge pin hitches.  Operates heavy equipment in successive passes over terrain to raise or lower terrain to specified grade following markings on grade stakes or hand signals.  Greases, oils and performs minor repairs on heavy equipment as assigned.  Coordinates equipment actions with on the ground crew member or other equipment operators using hand or audio signals to ensure safety standards are met and adhered to. Ensures all equipment on the job site is working in tandem to each other.  Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.  Services and makes minor repairs to assigned equipment.  Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains and spark plugs.  Reports any major malfunctions or needed repairs to the supervisor and or Fleet Supervisor.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school; or six (6) months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

OPERATOR I can operate any four (4) of the following pieces of equipment proficiently: mower, grader, loader, large backhoe, track-hoe, low-boy trailer, large steel roller, scraper, dozer, and screen plant.

OPERATOR II can operate any eight (8) of the following pieces of equipment proficiently: mower, grader, loader, large backhoe, track-hoe, low-boy trailer, large steel roller, scraper, dozer, and screen plant.  In limited situations may serve as a trainer on equipment for an Operator I.

OPERATOR III can operate any eight (8) of the following pieces of equipment proficiently: mower, grader, loader, large backhoe, track-hoe, low-boy trailer, large steel roller, scraper, dozer, and screen plant with extreme proficiency.  At this level the incumbent may serve as a lead worker, see additional information under Direction Received section.

Additional Requirements:

Operator I:  Valid and current Colorado Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with Tanker endorsement required.

Operator II, III: Valid and current Colorado Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with Tanker endorsement required.
