The Fremont County Department of Transportation reports that their first Fremont County Equipment Roadeo staged August 4th at the Fremont County Fair was a success.    The department reports that 21 entrants from El Paso County, Park County, the City of Cañon City, and Fremont County took part in the competition which involved maneuvering of heavy equipment through various obstacles and against time.

County Department of Transportation Director Tony Adamic and the employees extend thanks to all of our volunteers and sponsors for the work and help they provided in our first annual Equipment Roadeo.  Supervisor Curtis Stone was the coordinator for the Roadeo competition.   The judges were:  Dr. Dorothy Twellman, Debbie Bell, George Sugars, J.R.
