The Fremont County Planning Commission will deal with a single agenda item at their regular monthly meeting Tuesday afternoon. The Planning Commission will consider a request for a Special Review Use Permit by Dale and Janet Walters for a dog kennel operation in the Penrose area.
The Walters want the kennel permit so they can house up to 25 Pomeranian dogs and three family pets. The site is located on 40 acres about 1 ½ miles west of the junction of Highways 50 and 115 and a half mile south of Highway 50. The site currently has a single family dwelling with nine 90-square foot dog pens, a 19,130 square foot dog yard, and some large livestock pens.
The Planning Commission meets at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 5th, in the County Commissioners meeting room on the lower level of the Fremont County Administration Building.
